A marvellously fruit-forward Irish single malt whiskey here, independently bottled by those That Boutique-y Whisky Company folks. The team hasn't revealed which distillery was responsible for this 16 year old whiskey, so you're on your own when it comes to figuring that out, we're afraid. Don't worry, the mystery doesn't detract from the deliciousness of the whiskey itself.
Batch 5 is a release of 990 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery fudge, toasted coconut and golden barley, with salted peanuts, orange peel and nutmeg underneath.
Palate
Bourbon cask vanilla, apricot and green apples, followed by dried mango, honey spread on granary toast and zesty wood spices.
Finish
Long and quite dry with cereal and marmalade.
