You can always spot bottles from That Boutique-y Whisky Company thanks to their stand out label designs, created by Emily Chappell. The indie bottler is celebrating its iconic imagery with a series of Label Editions, including this limited edition 700ml bottle of Canadian Corn whisky! Matured for eight years, this expression is a marriage of whiskies matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry and Islay whisky octave casks offering a delicious twist on Boutique-y's core Canadian expression. The label features an element from previous Boutique-y labels, a dartboard belonging to the bottler's compliance team (or the 'fun police' as they like to call them). Wait, is that the beloved Canadian Sam Simmons, 2023 Blender of the Year that they've been throwing darts at?!
A release of 299 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose Sweet, jammy cherries and berries with savoury, barbecued nuts, honeyed dates and rich oak.
Palate Things open with just a whisper of peat smoke from that Islay barrel before waves of sweet maple syrup, candied pecans and buttery oak arrive.
Finish Charred oak, mouth-filling caramel, toffee popcorn, cracked peppercorns.
