That Boutique-y Whisky Company
The first batch of Bourbon Whiskey #1 bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company has arrived, and it's an incredibly well aged 24 year old expression! The label shows a peaceful scene at Area 51, complete with a sign saying "Nothing to see here", which has to be true. It's on a sign. You can't lie on signs. Nope, nothing out of the ordinary to see - apart from maybe that bottle-shaped crop circle... And that Bigfoot... And that alien...
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Rich, earthy vanilla pod and coffee bean notes arrive first, supported by vibrant notes of orange oil, brandy-soaked raisins and dark chocolate.
The vanilla notes continue on the palate, now with jammy red berries, maple syrup and freshly made pancakes.
A good kick of baking spices appear on the finish. Still enjoyably buttery.

Great big bold mouthful of chocolate and vanilla. Still tasting it long after the sip. Bit pricey so nice to get it on special offer once in a while.
Solid older aged bourbon without being oak bitter. Thick caramel and vanilla complimented with a sweet citrus. Very enjoyable!
Keep coming back to this again and again because it's just great liquid. While it's certainly not cheap, it is good value, and I always keep a stock of a few bottles for when it finally runs out of stock and I can't buy it anymore.
Absolutely sublime. A thick and spicy mouthfeel with a very long finish. A complex but balanced bourbon which, given its age, is well worth the RRP. Were the true source revealed this would command Parkers Heritage pricing. I am told these are from the pre-fire Heaven Hill stocks, aged 12 years in Kentucky and a further 12 years in Scotland.
I'm new to the world of bourbon, having tried a few of the familiar brands and one or two unusual examples. I'm on my third bottle of this in as many months and it's just soo good. I know it's not cheap but boy is it worth it!
