A tremendous 21-year-old Speysider, this is a teaspooned whisky, meaning the majority of the liquid hails from a single undisclosed distillery, blended with just a smidge of whisky from elsewhere. The blend was bottled up by That Boutique-y Whisky Company to join its Cinema Series, and with heaps of sweet fruit and honeyed barley to discover, it'll be far better than pic 'n mix with your next film night.
Batch 3 is a release of 198 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fruity layers of cooked pears, apple loaf, and stewed, honeyed plums are backed by waxy citrus and oily oak.
Palate
Crisp notes of green apple and gooseberry lead to waxy honeycomb, zesty marmalade, and barley sugar sweeties.
Finish
Sweet honeyed barley lingers, with orange zest and mellow oaken spice.
