Blended Malt #2 - Batch 2 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
That Boutique-y Whisky Company have been at working busily at their blending oak worktop again, getting their second batch of Blended Malt Number 2 ready! After much tinkering, toiling and tasting, they've produced yet another tasty tipple to join their selection.
Blended Malt Number 2 Batch 2 is a release of 415 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spicy with cinnamon and clove. Honeysuckle bursts through after a minute, with chocolate and caramel in tow. Charred oak and a touch of red chilli.
Palate
The spice continues on the palate, but with a much more herbaceous approach. Sweet, jammy notes develop, before making way for cluster hops and white pepper.
Finish
Quite drying. Touches of Black Forest gâteau appear near the end, rich in cherry sweetness.
Overall
Spicier than the first batch - one for the autumnal months...
