The flagship expression from Dublin's Teeling, the Small Batch Irish whiskey is made with a blend of malt and grain whiskeys, initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. Following that, the Teeling folks moved the whiskey over to casks that had previously held Central American rum! In these casks, the whiskey had an extra rest for up to 12 months, before being bottled at 46% ABV without any chill-filtration. Wonderfully full-flavoured, with plenty of fresh fruit, creamy vanilla and lively spice notes to enjoy!
Cut grass and orange blossom. Allspice, hints of vanilla, apple pie and blackberries.
Spiced, rich palate with rose petal jelly and lemon curd. Creamy vanilla, hints of dried herbs and cinnamon.
Floral, herbal finish. Caramel on the tail.
A deliciously creamy, spicy and rich Irish blend.

A very complex flavor and long finish. It manages to marry the Irish style with rum which adds varied flavors (pear , marmalade, among others) The 92percent abv adds length to the finish. Great work.
I think this whiskey is both suitable for some carefull disecting and reflection upon the flavors and nose, but also for just rewinding after a long day of hard work. It has some subtle flavors which can be meditated on, but for me, It's just a really smooth blend, that I enjoy as an everyday whiskey. 46% and non chill filtered. What's not to like? I'll be looking forward to try Teelings Single Malt next. Tomas
Tasted this at the Teeling distillery in Dublin. I enjoyed this, but the fact that it's aged in about half a dozen different barrels makes a slightly muddled and confusing drink. I love the experimentation, bit it's probably the worst of the three that I tasted, but still pretty good!
I love a good Irish whiskey and a big fan of the Teeling Small Batch and some of their other bottlings. Packs more flavor than other Irish whiskeys without losing its easy to drink nature. Definitely recommend.
I'm a beer drinker through and through but picked this up on a whim months ago. Today I just purchased my 3rd bottle. I really like it on the rocks. A nice alternative after work when I simply want one drink to unwind. I find the initial sip to be a bit forward and abrupt, but then there is a sweetness and spice that settles in and it finishes smooth.
