Teeling Small Batch Amber Ale Cask Finish
A cracking collaboration between two terrific Dublin-based drinks producers – specifically Teeling and DOT Brew! It begins with Teeling's Small Batch Irish whiskey, which is then allowed an additional rest in barrels that have been seasoned with DOT's Amber Ale. The finishing period brings plenty of warming, biscuity malt notes, alongside flashes of hoppy citrus and pine to the table, making for a satisfying sip. A release of 12,000 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Allspice, lemon zest, caramelised nuts, a hint of grassy sweetness developing.
Palate
Cooked apple, more citrus (now with clementine boldness at its heart), cinnamon, vanilla, a touch of pine.
Finish
Toffee, almonds, custard cream biscuits.
