“I made the switch over to whiskey from rum recently, after trying a whiskey called Writer's Tears at Garryowen's Pub in Gettysburg, PA (the best Irish pub in America). It was like nothing I've ever had. I purchased my first bottle of bourbon whiskey at a cost of $36 from a NY distillery and did not like it. I knew of Teelings and Tyconnell and decided to do a little research. I liked what I had read about Teeling's Single Malt so I bought it at $66 USD. It was exactly what I had in mind. I knew that if I wanted a whiskey of good quality, I needed to get it from the country that made it famous. Irish Wiskey and Kentucky bourbon whiskey are so different. I just hope I can hang on to this expensive bottle for longer than the week, haha.”
