The Teeling chaps have introduced a brilliant 30 year old single malt Irish whiskey to the Vintage Reserve Collection! This expression was distilled back in 1987 and left to age in bourbon casks for 25 years. After such a long time, the whiskey was given a change of scenery and moved over to French oak casks that previously held white Burgundy wine for the final 5 years. Just 500 bottles were produced.
Rose water, white grapes, tropical fruit, toffee, caramel, coffee, earthy.
Fresh cut grass and herbs gives way to spices, coconut, wood, tropical fruit, kiwi, strawberry, and pineapple.
The tropical fruit continues with peach, lemon, culminating in a nice dry finish.
