Teaninich 8 Year Old 2013 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
Independently bottled single malt from the Teaninich Distillery, bottled up by Càrn Mòr. This one was drawn from red wine casks, which have imparted a good whack of bold berry notes to the whisky. It was distilled back in 2013, and eventually bottled eight years later in 2021, with 1,455 bottles produced as part of the Strictly Limited range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple and blackberry crumble, nutty barley, a smidge of anise.
Palate
Heavy vanilla notes, with fresh blueberries and red grapes bringing fruity sweetness. A good crackle of black pepper, too.
Finish
Slightly flinty on the finish.
