Teaninich 19yo TBWC Bottling Note

The very first bottling of Teaninich single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company has arrived! It's a 19 year old expression, and features quite a saga of a story on the label. Teaninich was founded by Captain Hugh Munro, who lost his sight after surviving a gunshot to the head during a battle. He was due to marry a woman after returning from the skirmish, but her father would not let it happen. However, many years later, her dying wish was to see Captain Munro one last time at the local church, which is the scene unfolding on the label. Told you it was a saga.

Batch 1 is a release of 862 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Hazelnut spread on rye bread, buttery croissants and fizzy oak spices.

Palate: Floral at first - almost vegetal at points. Soon enough, the sweet baking notes from the nose return in full force.

Finish: Honey, pear and hints of fresh barley.
