Here we have a tasty Teaninich, aged for 10 years and then independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label hints at quite an intense story of Teaninich founder Captain Hugh Munro, who lost an eye in battle and then wasn't allowed to marry the woman he was betrothed to. Told you it was intense.
Batch 3 is a release of 2,893 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose Applesauce, dried pear and toasted barley initially, followed by walnut husk, spiced oak and seeded wholemeal loaf.
Palate More brown bread with honey and marmalade notes lead among aromatic winter spice and some creamy, nutty elements.
Finish Lingering orchard fruit sweetness.
Overall A whisky of balance and a fine blend of flavours.
