My dear wife buys me some good single malts for special occasions, so I have to sneak Teachers into the house to enjoy a very fine smoky peaty dram. Easy drinking well rounded malty blend that I can afford to enjoy as often as I want.
if you offer me a Teacher's and plain water, I could drink a Teacher's and plain water. My only problem with this scotch is the lack of aftertaste. For the price I'm not complaining. For more peaty and longer aftertaste I personally still prefer JW Black Label to Teacher's.
Way better than JW Black in my humble opinion. Honey, smoke, vanilla, really delicious. There'll always be a bottle of this on my whisky shelf, especially as it's so affordable.
This is pretty much the cheapest scotch available around where I live, but decided to give it a try after generally positive reviews. The light peat smoke makes this distinct and much more enjoyable than other bottom shelf scotches I've tried (I'm admittedly rather fond of the peated Islays). Punches well above its weight/price, and will be a budget option that I will keep on my whiskey shelf.
teachers was the best whisky that you could get hold of in my younger days AND STILL IS. I am in my Eightys and still enjoy a nip every night. LOVLY. JOHN.
