This Aussie whisky comes from the island state of Tasmania. When they are not being harassed by the Tasmanian devils they produce some of the best whisky being made south of the Equator at this moment. The whisky in this bottle was finished in French Oak Port Casks for a fruity flavour.
Melted dark chocolate and red wine gums open up a big fruity nose. Hints of anise, white pepper and coconut.
Jelly babies and a little more white pepper dominate the palate entry with cinnamon and a lick of fresh cut grass developing.
The finish is swift but substantial with fruitcake notes.
A full-bodied whisky that showcases what the Australians are doing well.
Just got my bottle and tasted it, it absaloubtly gorgeous with taste like a Christmas cake and dark chocolate with yummy toffe and molasses and I can see why this dram had picked up awards all over the world. I'm defiantly buy buying another bottle or 2 !
Guys, what's up with the wait now? Are we going to have to wait all week and keep refresh the page or what? Not cool. Especially when you put it in stock before the time you said you would.
Can you at least put it back in stock EARLY in the mornings as opposed to during later in the day, like 7am or so? Anyone with a day job cannot have their "trigger finger" ready whilst at work. Not everyone is sitting at home waiting for M.o.M to put a whisky back in stock..
Master of Malt is a top site and one of the best whisky shops on the web, but if you are seeking a rare and collectible whisky, best to look somewhere else unless you want to religiously follow Twitter and refresh the screen every five seconds to fend off those looking to buy a bottle and then put it on auction.
Hey you all wanna try Overeem it's a Aussie single malt and its gorgeous but it's exspensive but is worth the money and I prefere it over Sullivan's cove apart from the French oak cask its jam packed full of flavour and spice I'm defiantly buying another bottle !
