    Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition

A wonderfully well-sherried single malt from the Tamnavulin Distillery, which begins its life in American oak barrels before being finished in three different types of sherry casks! Three of 'em! Shouldn't come as a surprise, but if you're a fan of all those Christmas cakey, chocolatey, red berry-y notes, you'll probably be into this one from the Speyside-based distillery.

Follow the rules and you will be rewarded.

Let this one breathe a bit before you drink it . I opened the bottle and immediately and poured myself a dram. I couldn’t believe how disappointed I was , it tasted like whisky vinegar. I read about giving the whisky some time so I held back on the review . Now ten days later I have my second dram in my hand . It’s a completely different taste now . I’d describe it as a clean , a young , eager to please whisky , with an honest innocence . Very pleasant, with a fruity and caramel longish finish . I’m really enjoying it and recommend anyone having a try , especially when on offer at nearer £20 than £30 . Give it a go , but follow the rules.

    Cheap and good.

Its cheap and great. To be honest i've tried several single malts much more expensive than this and everytime i taste it i love it. Great Job Tamnavulin

    Awful

Didn't like it. Very rough on the palate. Weird tasting, very bitter and very sweet at the same time. Didn't really taste like whisky at all. This is the only whisky l have ever tipped down the sink after pouring in glass. Horrible stuff. Johnny Walker Red Label is streets better than this.

No real body, weak sherry finish.

I like their double cask, so i gave this ago, as picked up discounted offer price of £20. Well na, not for me. No body, not much sherry finish, young, probably 5 yrs max dissapointing tbh. For the price paid tho, i giving a star for that.

One of the worst single malts I have tasted.

Very little nose. There is some sweetness there but but most of the taste is overwhelmed by pungent acidity. Burns all the way down. Nothing on the label to say how long this whiskey has matured - I'd guess a very young whisky
