Tamnavulin
Scotland
Single Malt
A lovely sherried Tamnavulin originally released for the Travel Retail market, the Speysider was initially matured in American oak barrels. Before it was bottled, the single malt was treated to a finish in casks which previously held Tempranillo red wine, imparting a brilliant colour as well as berry-forward flavour profile.
Blackberry jam and lots of cherry notes, with Christmas spices, malt loaf and vanilla custard.
Chocolate raisins, dates, floral honey and dried apple with roasted cocoa notes, apricot and nectarine.
Oak spice, vanilla pod and forest fruit.

On my opinion sharp and tastes too much of wine (But that's my opinion. I don't like red wine, and got this as a present - wouldn't have bought) Still, I've tasted worse whiskies.
Sharp and winey. Doesn't really suite my taste. Still, not terrible.
thee would've make much, much more is they bottled this one in 46% with NCF, but since it's 40%, I don't think a good choice.
This is superb whiskey and an excellent value for money. Red wine cask whiskeys are difficult to find, and this one does not disappoint. One of the best 5 value for money whiskeys I've ever tasted.
