Nose: Honeysuckle and gingerbread biscuits complement soft baked apples and pears. Toasted vanilla pods with dried fruit and a background eucalyptus note give a hint of the whisky's age. Light notes of waxed and polished oak are balanced by pine-needle spiciness.
Palate: Brown sugar leads, with walnuts, hazelnuts and a thick, rounded mouthfeel. Rich milk chocolate and soft Victoria sponge follow, with poached pears and vanilla ice cream. At the end, mint leaves dusted with icing sugar come through, with a hint of spice leaving you wanting more.
Finish: Gracefully fading away, with a rich orange and spicy cumin.
