Description

Independently bottled single malt from Tamnavulin, distilled back in 1991 and left to age in a single refill hogshead for 27 years. Following that lengthy rest, the whisky was bottled by Hunter Laing for the literature-inspired First Editions series, with an outturn of only 255 bottles.

Nose

Milky tea, cinnamon buns, a touch of dried citrus peels, peppercorn.

Palate

More orange here, though with a balancing note of oaky dryness. Rich honey throughout.

Finish

Nutmeg and five-spice, vanilla pod, lemongrass.
