A 1990 vintage from the Tamnavulin distillery, matured in refill sherry hogsheads and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail.
The nose is quite light and elegant with a subtlety of flavour. There are notes of cut hay and mixed fruits and a menthol note. There are some oily notes and a touch of caramel. The palate is of medium-body and very smooth. There is an oiliness that carries everything so effortlessly with notes of sherried fruits and peels and a hint of winter spice. There are cut herbal notes with peppermint leaves. The finish is quite short but a beautifully written piece as the smoke tapers out, gently.

Living in Speyside and close to the Tamnavulin distellery I can safely say say that this whisky is one of the finest scottish single malts I have ever had the pleasure to drink. Smoother than silk. Beautifull.
