Tamdhu Cigar Malt - Release 3
This is the third edition of Tamdhu Cigar Malt, created to accompany a fine hand-rolled cigar. The Speyside single malt was matured in first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks, barrels chosen for their robust character, one that can match the opulence of a premium cigar. It was bottled at a big 53.8% ABV without chill-filtration.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sultanas, dates, spiced blackcurrant chutney, and apricot rollups. There's hints of cola and tobacco underneath, as well as hearty gingerbread aromas and malty biscuits.
Palate
More heaps of dried and dark fruit are joined by nutmeg, praline, orange peel, chocolate raisins, and vanilla ice cream.
Finish
Fiery winter spices mingle with sherry-stained oak and stone fruit.
