Tamdhu 21 Year Old Sherry Cask Matured
The oldest expression in Tamdhu’s core range, this 21-year-old Speyside single malt is matured exclusively in the oloroso sherry casks, a combination of first-fill and refill American and European oak. Uncompromising in its cask selection as usual, Tamdhu creates the rich, complex character it's known for, with a balance of sherried sweetness, spice, and dignified dryness.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Layers of sherried oak, dark chocolate, and warm cinnamon porridge. Sultanas, toasted almonds, and orange oil gently rise with time.
Palate
Christmas cake packed with plump raisins, candied citrus, and nutmeg. Gentle tannins from the oak give it a poised structure.
Finish
Waves of spiced oak and dark fruit eventually mellow into sweet, juicy berries.
