Tamdhu 21 YO 1989 Bottling Note

This is a Tamdhu distilled in 1989 and bottled by Mackillop's Choice in 2010. Tamdhu produces malt for the Famous Grouse blend however it is a great single malt in its own right!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: The nose is densely tropical with notes of yellow fruit and a good helping of vanilla.

Palate: The palate is more honeyed with notes of golden syrup and fudge but with fruity top notes.

Finish: The finish is reasonably long with notes of pineapple chunks and wandering wood-spice.

Overall: This is a great single malt that maintains a youthfulness in spite of its age and is a great chance to try a crucial part of a major blend.
