Talisker The Wild Blue is a limited-edition single malt inspired by its beautiful island home, Skye.
For the first time, Talisker has finished its whisky in Atlantic coastal red wine casks from South Africa, drawing on a sixteen-month finishing period to add vibrant layers of dark berries and orchard fruits to Talisker's signature maritime smoke.
Driven by their shared passion for the sea, Talisker has partnered with the Blue Marine Foundation to restore coastal wildlife. The aim is to raise over £100,000** through The Wild Blue to support marine and coastal habitat restoration in the South of England. Each purchase will help restore these vital habitats, enhancing biodiversity, improving water quality, and supporting marine life by revitalising native oysters and seagrass meadows.
**Each promotional bottle made for worldwide distribution represents a £3 donation to Blue Marine Foundation, a registered charity in England & Wales. The total donated will be £112,608 irrespective of the amounts sold.
*UK (excluding Channel Islands) and retail only. Offer from 08 04 2025, while stock lasts.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose Red berries and bonfire smoke rise first, followed by sea spray, charred driftwood, and spiced plum compote.
Palate Sweet blackcurrant, poached pear and baked apple up front, wrapped in Talisker's trademark coastal pepper and gentle smokiness. Wine tannins and toasted oak give grip and structure.
Finish Lingering smoke with red fruit jam, salted caramel and warming oak spice.
