Talisker
It's the 2007 vintage Distillers Edition from Talisker. These expressions are allowed a finishing period in casks that previously held Amoroso sherry, which plays wonderfully with the distinctive coastal salinity of Talisker's single malt. This one was bottled in 2017 at 45.8% ABV.
Very balanced, intense and complex whisky. The Sherry cask effect is prominent in making the smoke subdued and delicious. This is the first time I tasted an Amoroso cask finished whisky. It’s a ten year vintage and better than the regular 10 years. Thanks.

This is soooo good. Smooth, sweet, smokey. Like an angel peeing on you tongue.
It is a well rounded Talisker with a wonderful finish. Big fan
Very disappointing for a Talisker. Nice seaweedy nose to start with but on sipping it is too fiery to detect subtle flavours(if any). Medicinal first hit with a harsh finish. Pleased it is nearly all gone. Shame as I enjoyed the 10yr.
