Talisker 10 year old single malt is a classic Island whisky from the Isle of Skye. Immensely satisfying stuff, with whiffs of warm peat blending with coastal air, balanced by orchard fruit and juicy barley. A spectacular after dinner dram.
It was an Editor's Choice at Whisky Magazine, a gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017 and was awarded 'Best Islands Single Malt' at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards.
A fresh and fragrant nose. Through thick, pungent smoke comes sweet pear and apple peels, with pinches of maritime salt from kippers, seaweed.
It's a bonfire of peat crackling with black pepper, with a touch of brine and dry barley. A welcome delivery of orchard fruit provides a delicate and beautiful balance.
In a long finish, bonfire embers toast malt and crystallise a sugary underlay.

I'm not a sophisticated whisky drinker like some here, but I can tell you that the Talisker 10 is mouth-wateringly delicious. Build a fire, pour a dram, and revel in the peat, water, and smoke of the Isle of Skye. Yes, please!
This came recommended by a friend and I am very impressed. Lovely complex taste - nice and smoky but a surprising bit of sweetness to compliment and a very slight salty aftertaste. There's a lot going on and it makes for a dangerously easy drinker. The only downside is the cost, you can get this cheaper elsewhere, and if you're anything like me you'll need to because I'm already on my second bottle.

Very much disappointed.Very harsh & strong. No sweetness.Felt like some chemical solution poured in a bottle. It's not my drink.Bought it reading some positive reviews but got a hard hit
This is one of my new favorites! Nose and taste were great, especially the finish, very layered. Tasted like a sweet peat campfire. Would recommend this one to anyone.
