A 12 year old single malt from an unnamed distillery, Stronachie is bottled by A. D. Rattray, and it commemorates an old, long lost distillery of the same name.
Heather honey, malt. Grassy, fruity and dry with hints of almond.
Creamy and spicy with notes of malt, a touch of smoke, more almond, then toffee and fruit.
Medium with nutty notes.

Fab malt and extremely smooth. Only tried the 12 and not he 18 so far. Far too easy to drink!
The best of 3 Stronachie (10, 12 & 18 y.o.) A touch of smoke, green apple.
Reason being that bourbon distillers may not re-use their barrels so the Scots, being Scots, can pick them up cheap.
nice!!! I will buy it again
Bought at specs hoping to be in same class as similarly priced single malts. disappointed at the prominent American bourbon taste up front. Bourbon casks are for bourbon. Why do scotch distilleries do that?
