This is That Boutique-y Whisky Company's second batch of independently bottled Strathmill single malt Scotch whisky. Strathmill was once a porridge oats mill, and was also owned by W. & A. Gilbey (producer of Gilbey's Gin), who bestowed the distillery its name. So of course the Boutique-y bunch have adorned this bottling with an illustration of Goldilocks sneaking into Strathmill to pilfer some porridge and mix it with gin!
Batch 2 is a release of 96 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Rich tea biscuits, scones with a generous amount of sultanas and perhaps even a hint of porridge oats!
Sweeter than the nose might let on, with developing notes of maple syrup and gold bears. Oak-y warmth, with perhaps a little hint of eucalyptus.
Salt and pepper crisps followed by a whisper of brown sugar.
Plenty of bourbon-y vanilla notes all the way through this. Yum...

Would guess that this is possibly quite young - there are lots of tequila notes on the nose, but once it hits the palate - BOOM - it becomes an absolute beast. Wasn't expecting this, judging by the label, and indeed the nose.
