Another bottling from Duncan Taylor's Octave range, which explores the impact tiny octave casks have on whisky (spoiler: it's good). This one is a 22 year old Strathmill, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2014 after spending 6 months in an octave cask. 88 bottles were produced.
Cookie dough, sultanas, paprika and a touch of torn citrus peel.
Nutty as it opens, with walnut and almond, before delivering a whole heap of cooked apricots and poached pears.
Medium length, with sugar shortbread notes appearing.
