Strathmill 21 Year Old 1996 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)

A 21 year old single malt from the Strathmill distillery, which we've gone and bottled for our Single Cask Series! The whisky was laid down in a bourbon cask back in July 996, then bottled 21 years later in May 2018 at cask strength, without any chill-filtration or additional colours.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

So sweet: honey, vanilla and toffee with just a touch of dried apricot.

    Palate

Spicy, pungent and creamy, like eating spicy custard (much nicer than it sounds), full texture but with a grassy citrus note that keeps it refreshing.

    Finish

Long and creamy, with a lingering vanilla ice cream note.

    Overall

Lovely balance between richness and freshness.
