Indie sherried Strathmill alert! Distilled in 2008, this single malt was matured for 14 years, including a finishing period in a fino sherry octave cask (which are 1/8th of the size of an average sherry butt). As such, when it was finally emptied by The Single Cask, it yielded just 63 precious bottles at cask strength, a generous 57. 8% ABV.
Porridge and golden syrup, toasted almonds, and sultana sweetness.
Sticky apple tart, kitchen herbs, and chocolate brittle.
Floral vanilla, honeyed nutmeg, and dried apricot.
