A 15 year old single malt here from the Strathisla Distillery, which has been independently bottled up by the Darkness team. This expression has enjoyed a finished period in Moscatel sherry octave casks, which has given the whisky a heaping helping of sherried notes, which is exactly what we've come to expect from Darkness.
Densely chocolatey, with hints of cigar box underneath adding yet more richness.
Salted caramel shortbread, toasty cinnamon, a touch of herbaceous malt.
Black pepper, spearmint sweetness, red apple.
