Strathisla 1967 (bottled 2007) - (Gordon and MacPhail)

Strathisla 1967-2007 Bottling Note

This was distilled in 1967 at the Strathisla distillery in Speyside. Matured in first fill sherry butts, this is a rich, poised dram which exhibits the Strathisla character beautifully.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is of good body with notes of orange peels, dried and sugared and steeped in sherry. Eucalyptus oil develops with rubbed petals and soft smoke. The palate is quite full and well-balanced with notes of golden syrup and cut herbs, toasted oak spices develop with a dark yet soft peat and whirls of smoke. The finish is toasted and long with fino notes.
