A creamy, thick 12 year old single malt from the Speyside distillery, Strathisla.
The nose is rich and of good body. Some notes of wood oils and resins, rubbed petals, winter spice and cereal sweetness. There are notes of marmalade and hints of bourbon with a thick creaminess. The palate is thick and full. There are notes of thick cream and honeyed raisins. Sultana notes emerge with a little Madeira and mixed peels. The oak develops into the finish, which is fruity and spirity.

Found 2 of these in a shop in New England. Opened one for a special occasion. It's so good, I'm afraid to open the other.
Wonderful taste. simply you must try it!
I've been a Scotch drinker for almost 50 years (Chivas and Johnnie Walker)and have occasionally sipped a single malt, here and there. My dear sister just gave me a bottle of Strathisla 12, on the occasion of my 68th birthday and I must say that it is a wonderful drink. I don't claim to be an expert, but I do know what I like and this is it -- sorry, Johnnie, but I've been spoiled.
I am really enjoying this flavorful malt. There is a lovely spiciness combined with a smoothness that I really enjoy. I add a little splash of club soda instead of water to open it up. It is very satisfying.
I am enjoying my first bottle of this gem. The lovely oakiness gives it a depth of flavor without being harsh. An initial burst of flavor with a long finish. Very light on the sherry, which I greatly appreciate.
