Strathclyde 1987 34yo

This single grain from Glasgow's Strathclyde distillery was distilled back in 1987(!) and matured for over three decades. The first 30 years were spent in a bourbon hogshead, before it was moved to small rye whiskey casks from Koval in Chicago for a four-year finish. It was then bottled by Murray McDavid, with 584 bottles released for the Mission Gold range.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose Toffee apple, stewed pears, vanilla.

Palate Sweet oak, caramel sauce, fresh cereal.

Finish Long and gentle, peanut brittle.
