Single grain from the Strathclyde Distillery, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. After 28 years slumbering in a single refill barrel, from August 1990 to May 2019, this whisky was kicked out of its wooden bed and into 165 bottles, presented at cask strength.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Custard Creams, slightly leafy hints of forest floor, caramelised nuts.
Palate
A burst of citrus freshness, followed by more biscuity notes and a hint of ginger heat.
Finish
Lasting chewy toffee sweetness balanced by cinnamon and bitter chocolate.
