From Denmark's Stauning, KAOS is a unique grain whisky made with locally-grown rye and malted barley that is then aged in first-fill Makers Mark bourbon casks and heavily-charred virgin American oak casks. The name KAOS is a reference to Danish prime minister, Thorvald Stauning, whose campaign slogan was 'Stauning eller kaos' – Stauning or Chaos – which helped the Social Democratic Party win the 1935 Folketing election by a figure never again reached by any Danish party.
