The English - Rum Cask Peated
This edition of The English single malt whisky brings together smokiness and sweetness – it's a peated expression, which has been matured in rum casks! Aged for 12 years, the casks have had plenty of time to impart warming sweetness of ripe fruit and honey to the smoky, subtly spicy spirit. Another great example of top-notch English single malt.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Roasted nuts, salt and pepper crisps, floral honey, a burst of green apple and orange.
Palate
Candied grapes and mango, swiftly followed by charred oak and red chilli flake.
Finish
A slight touch of fruity coffee appears on the finish.
