The English - Lest We Forget
This single malt was released by The English Whisky Co. to mark Remembrance Sunday, and to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Treaty Of Versailles, which formally ended World War I. Lest We Forget is a limited release of 1,499 bottles at 43% ABV, with a gently smoky undertone supporting earthier, woody notes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Swirls of wood smoke alongside cigar box, a pinch of tobacco and fresh oak.
Palate
Damp oak, with a grassy note, old leather armchair and more aromatic wood smoke.
Finish
A touch of warming wood spice alongside oak char and lingering earthy notes.
