The English - Sherry Butts
A glorious single malt from The English Distillery over in Norfolk! Distilled in November 2013, this unpeated expression was allowed to mature in sherry butts until February 2022, when a total of 2,850 bottles were released. Magnificently rich and fruity, with sweet sticky toffee notes, it's another tasty treat from The English series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Figs, dates, sultanas, dark honey, and sweet, cakey malt.
Palate
Sticky toffee pudding and fruit studded dark chocolate, bittersweet marmalade followed by nutty caramel.
Finish
Burnt sugar lingers with gentle spice, followed by more dried fruits with dustings of cocoa.
