An exciting new addition to the Springbank core range, the 5 Year Old 100° Proof is lightly peated, distilled 2.5 times (like all Springbank whisky) and aged in bourbon casks. It was bottled at 57.1% ABV.

£54.95Even after all other Springbank is sold and resold, this one remains available. And for a good reason. Or a bad one. Despite its cask strength, it is what it is: a whisky that hasn't properly matured. It smells and tastes of cheese, and despite it's sweet and savory flavours, I still find it mostly displeasing.
This is a cracking whisky for its age. It takes water well and has a nose which already tells you this is intense and flavoursome. Great value for money. Heartily recommended
