25 year old single malt from the Campbeltown-based Springbank Distillery, independently bottled for the Forgotten Gems series. Always exciting to see indie bottlings from this much-adored distillery. The Forgotten Gems range is all about bottling the final drops of rare stocks of incredible whiskies, and only 4 bottles of this particular whisky were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honey-glazed ham, blackberry compote, chocolate digestives.
Palate
Charred oak and burnt ends, balanced by more dark fruits and a hint of coffee.
Finish
Slightly earthy on the finish, with sweet smoke lingering.
