Campbeltown's Springbank Distillery produces some excellent peaty treats under the Springbank name (it also makes Hazelburn and Longrow whiskies - all are fab), but for this expression, they've paired the peat with something wonderfully sweet - rum! This 15 year old single malt was drawn from rum casks, which have imparted vibrant tropical fruit notes, bringing a delicious juxtaposition to the flavour profile.

Nose Grassy peat followed by fried banana and stem ginger.
Palate Tangy at first with tropical fruit juice, before savoury waves of smoke bring balance to the palate.
Finish Lasting peppery oak and a touch of honeycomb.
