Springbank 15 Year Old 1991 - Mission Gold (Murray McDavid)
This is a Murray McDavid bottling of 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the much-loved Springbank distillery - one of the few remaining distilleries in the Campbeltown region. This was matured from 1991 to 2006 in bourbon oak, and has been bottled as part of the Mission Gold range. 189 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oatcakes, sea breeze, scones and a juicy touch of white grape. Very typical of Springbank whiskies (and tasty).
Palate
Sponge cake, raspberry jam, raisin and oak spices. Light touches of peat smoke waft in.
Finish
Very long and rewarding. A sweet hint of vanilla hides right at the end.
