Following on from 2014's 12 year old, 2015 sees a 13 year old release of Sherry cask matured Springbank made with organic barley and bottled at 46%!

Initial taste, strong, turpentine, alcohol. Mid stream - grass, peat and smoke slightly oily which muffles the flavours. Flavour is sustained via the creamy, oily finish. We did expect more robustness out of a 13 year old whisky. This is a very pedestrian scotch.
Quite similar in character to the 21 year old, but at a third of the price.
