Springbank 13yo 2003 Bottling Note

From the much-adored Springbank distillery in Campbeltown comes a single cask expression of their stunning single malt. This was aged in a fresh Sherry butt from November 2003 to October 2017, when it was bottled at 13 years of age and at cask strength. Just 540 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rum-drizzled raisins and sultanas, with some crystallised ginger thrown in for good measure. Brandy butter, oatcake and grilled fruit.

Palate: Smoky peanut shells, chocolate cornflake cakes, a whisper of vegetal oak.

Finish: Cinder toffee and thick Oloroso finish off this one.
