This is a superbly oily, coastal 12 year old cask-strength single malt from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. This is the fifth batch.

Sweet, creamy aromas of vanilla and butterscotch. Soft cherry, cocoa, notes of fruit and spice.
Spiced, oily palate entry. Vanilla, toasted oak, creamy fudge notes and biscuity malt. Very nicely balanced.
Long, dry, faintly smoky finish.

We first tasted this In restaurant in Vancouver. The food was amazing but we went back for the Springbank. This is my second year of buying it to share with the friends who were with me in Vancouver. Last Christmas the bottle was empty before the end of the 12 days....
