Once again, Springbank shows off its spectacular single malt at a robust ABV. This edition of its 12 Year Old Cask Strength weights in at a hefty 57.1% ABV, and packs a hefty helping of classic coastal Campbeltown peat at its core.
Buttered toast and sea air, with salted caramel brownie in the background.
Shortbread, blueberries, seaweed, smoke and orange oil.
Savoury, almost meat, heather honey and macadamia nuts.

Best Springbank 12 CS
I am the biggest Springbank fan, but I have been on record saying that I have been disappointed with the last few years of Springbank 12 CS which had previously been legendary. This new batch has returned to form in the most delicious way but is now more bourbon influenced. It tastes like Springbank 14 Bourbon Wood(which was amazing) with a little sherry. Big but not heavy, power but balance. Abundance of flavours. For the price, it's a steal. Sadly limit to 1 p/person. Wish I could buy more....
