A limited edition Longrow Red single malt from the gang at Springbank in Campbeltown! This edition of the heavily peated whisky spent four years maturing in bourbon casks, followed by a further three years in French Pinot Noir wine casks before it was bottled at a robust 57.1% ABV.
A herbal, vegetal note is immediately apparent in notes of tomato plant and heather, along with touches of morello cherries and smoky bacon.
Sweet and savoury meet on the palate, with notes of smoked ham, wine gums, raspberry jam and honey.
Characteristic coastal notes come to the forefront in the finish of this dram.
