Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A medium-bodied nose with hints of freshly mown grass, heather honey and malt. A little soft smoke.

Palate: Apple blossom and smoky malt on the palate - coffee and nutmeg flavours, hints of linseed and oily peat.

Finish: Long, spiced finish with oak and potpourri.

Nice!
The nose starts pretty farmy and grassy with a noticeable earthy-peat, but not much smoke. It eventually rounds to something sweeter and rounder with bits of sherry and some seaweed coming through.

The palate is lightly fruity and sweet but the sherry doesn't stick out like some finished whiskies... it's more integrated. Finishes lightly peated with lots of black pepper, wood spice, and hints of jalapeno. Slightly seaweedy character. Finishes spicy and somewhat sweet/fruity with light smoke.

Reminiscent of a more reserved Springbank 15.
