Sold out at MoM and listed as an auction item, I was fortunate to find a bottle at my local liquor store for £63. Glad I did. Unchillfiltered, no added colour. Double matured (Bourbon + Sherry cask) and bottled at a satisfying 46.0% ABV, it belies its youth with real depth, richness and complexity. On the nose I get (apart from the obvious malt) toffee-apple, citrus, oak and a light smoke. The first taste is a little sharp but it moderates with aeration, slightly salty, fresh citrus, warm maltiness, hints of cashew nuts, peppery finish which lingers and dies away to a smooth, creamy, liquorice tinged smoke. Overall extremely good. I think in a blind taste test most people would think this was at least 18yrs if not more and much more expensive.
